The Future Farmers of America were born out of a chance encounter on a dusty, upstate, country dead end road.
Their music is clearly reflected in this... (keeping in mind, of course, that every dead-end road is a doorway to a
fallow field).
With their eponymous debut album on Bovina Records, The Future Farmers of America introduces their own
quadruple-distilled brand of country, rock, alternative, and pop(known in some parts round here as "CRAP") to
Americana enthusiasts from California to the New York Island.
Led by the song writing duo of Tom Hardardt and Phil Pucci, FFA emerged like a phoenix from the burn barrel of
Queens County's legendary Snively Orange Groove (aptly named in honor of the Florida Orange Grove owned
by Graham Parson's family). They are joined by Delaware County's own John "Chico" Finn (Disciples of
Agriculture,Esquela, Pispoure’, Tony Clifton Revival), and Superstar Keith Christopher (Georgia Satellites, The
Yahoos, The Brains, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Billy Joe Shaver, & Tony Joe White, as well as many artists with two
names, including: Paul Westerberg, Todd Snider and Richie Havens, and one-name, even - Ayo)
Tom Hardardt (guitar/ vocals) - enjoys hunting and fast cars.
Phil Pucci (drums/ vocals) - prefers his coffee bitter and strong - like his women.
Keith Christopher (guitar/ vocals) - likes loose cars and fast women.
Chico Finn (bass) - has a passion for loose change and fast food.
