Bovina Records was created in 2002 to provide a validating record label logo for Pispoure's first release, "The Oight Album". Knowing we knew nothing about the record business we decided to create a record business. We developed the Holstein-head-with-a-nick-in-her-ear logo and dug deep for a title of a new record label located in my attic in Bovina Center, NY. Luckily, and after much thought, we were able to conjure the name, "Bovina Records". Since releasing the Oight Album, signing Janet Stewart to a lucrative, long-term contract, and picking a title and sketching a Holstein-head-with-a-nick-in-her-ear logo, we have accomplished little else.
Currently, we are producing Pispoure's second blockbuster CD, the Natsy D. That pig should drop in Spring 2007.
Say, some more accomplishments: we launched this website, paid our taxes on time and have enough wood in the shed to last all winter. This label is clearly on the move; see you at the Grammy's.
